Kryshele gets a hug from Sara Smith
Kryshele Potts Wins Numerica Mini iPad
The old adage “one good turn deserves another” proved true today when Foothills 6th grader Kryshele Potts was given a mini iPad by Numerica Credit Union. Earlier in the year Kryshele nominated her math teacher Sara Smith for a Numerica School Champion Award.
“She helps me with my homework and is kind,” Kryshele wrote in her nominating essay. “She is awesome!”
Because she nominated a teacher, Kryshele’s name was entered into a drawing along with hundreds of other students who submitted a nomination essay during the school year, regardless of whether their nomination resulted in the School Champion Award.
Kryshele’s name was drawn to win the mini iPad.
Both math teacher Sara Smith and Foothills principal Mark Goveia said they were thrilled that Kryshele won because she is such a hard working and kind student.
Congratulations Kryshele.
